3 Tips to a Better Morning Routine

1. Plan Ahead

Tackle as many items as possible the night before.

Set out clothes for the next day (for you and your kids). Prepare bottles and lunches.

Make sure diaper bags and backpacks are packed and ready to grab on your way out the door.

Prepare the crock-pot dinner and store in the refrigerator.

2. Get Out of Bed

Wake up one full hour before your child does if you have kids.

This will allow you to workout, shower, get dressed, drink coffee, start the crock-pot, and get breakfast ready before the kids get moving.

If you’re completely ready before they wake up, you’ll be able to focus on them and hopefully feel less stressed.

3. Get Ahead

Plan to arrive 30 minutes early.

Planning to arrive earlier than the normal time can get you where you need to be on time.

Factor in your normal routes and traffic to avoid being late!

  1. My hardest challenge is waking up early and I have to trick myself to do it hahaha.

  2. At night, I lay there and think of what I am going to wear tomorrow. It makes me think I will have extra time in the morning and I can get a little extra sleep!

  3. These are all great tips. I prepare my clothes for the week on Sundays as well as my lunch the night before. I have started getting up earlier to work out – hope that continues through the Spring.
