I’m excited to share with you the 12 Days of Happiness Life Hacks as we close in on the new year. You have every right to be happy, but it’s not always easy to choose to do so. I hope this series will give you actionable steps and life hack to make happiness a reality in each and everyday.

Abraham Lincoln once said, “People will often be as happy as they chose to be.” The joy in this quote is that YOU have the choice. You can make a difference in your life.
Choose Happiness
When you chose to be unhappy, it will affect the people around you. Take my mom for example. She has chosen to be unhappy for many years. She uses one excuse after another, often things out of her control, and I can see the effect of her unhappiness. Her health has deteriorated and her relationships suffer greatly.
If you are unhappy and want to make a change, I would love to recommend The Happiness Planner. There’s no better way to choose to be happy then to schedule it into your busy days and weeks.

I love the article on Mind Body Green that says, “When you have the option of complaining—don’t. Instead, ask yourself, “What can I appreciate about the circumstances in front of me? What is good about my work or where I live?”
