Good Morning! Happy Black Friday! I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving along with tons of leftovers! What are you going to do with all this leftover food? Well, there are delicious leftover Thanksgiving recipes to turn to and they will not disappoint. Here are my 3 favorites to mock up, and what I stirred up this morning is quite the comfort dish!
Turkey Congee
(Turkey Rice Porridge) has been a tradition for us in the past three years. It’s also a great hangover cure. I found it better to cook it the night of Thanksgiving after dinner to let all the flavors soak in. After it cools down, I stick it in the fridge, and warm it up the next morning. It only takes 45 minutes to cook since I already have all the main ingredients. For this recipe from Roti n Rice, I left out the dates, and the Goji berries, and added final touches with green onions. You can top it off with black pepper and other spices to your taste. This is a dish preferably for breakfast, but who says you can’t have it all day?
Lettuce Wraps
If you woke up on a lighter note, lettuce wraps are perfect! This Turkey Santa Fe lettuce wrap recipe from Skinny Taste is amazing. After a couple, you’ll feel refreshed, and ready for shopping!
Grilled Cheese Turkey Sandwich
After shopping, you might want to come home to something so cheesy it will smother your craving. I never get tired of grilled cheese sandwiches and this recipe by Laura from Ring Finger Tan Line is super easy, it’s a must. All you need is bread, butter, cheese, turkey meat, and homemade cranberry sauce. By the looks of it, I’m salivating for one right now.
I hope you get a chance to try one of these recipes, and there are many more to inspire your leftover cravings from our Thanksgiving Traditions Living5x5 Pinterest page. Have a safe Black Friday Shopping day!
