How to Celebrate International Day of Happiness

International Day of Happiness on March 20 reminds us to celebrate and create more happiness in the world around us. How to celebrate International Day of Happiness?

For me, I celebrate it right at home with my family – my husband and our two kitties, Velcro and Zipper. It can be as simple as waking up and making a healthy and delicious breakfast. Or, spending some time outdoors in my garden and with my chickens. Not only that, I also celebrate being healthy by taking walks, or going to yoga. It helps release stress, and makes me happy.

I also lead a happy life by seeing different parts of the world, which I can’t wait for my next trip that’s coming up to see the Northern Lights in Canada! But, there’s definitely more than celebrating myself and what surrounds me. I also like to take part in helping others grow, and find their inner self to be happy again. We all have busy lives, and often forget what living5x5 is really all about. But, there are no excuses! See the Top 5 regrets of the dying by Bronnie Ware. One of them includes “I wish that I had let myself be happier.”

“Many did not realise until the end that happiness is a choice. They had stayed stuck in old patterns and habits… Fear of change had them pretending to others, and to their selves, that they were content. When deep within, they longed to laugh properly and have silliness in their life again.”

    • That’s nice to hear. I recently started going to Yoga again, and I never knew how much I really missed. Love my classes now.
