Crystal Paine is someone you respect and easily relate to because she really connects with us, her audience. How does she find her happiness? She is open, compassionate and giving. She has many of the same struggles that we do, but she doesn’t sit there; she does something to make things better.

Who is Crystal Paine?
Years ago, when Crystal and her husband had a tight budget of $35 a week to pay for all household expenses (including food), she started couponing and finding ways to be frugal while living well. She is all about living below our means to be happier, debt-free and more fulfilled.

Her frugal living journey didn’t start when she got married. Her education to find bargains began while she was young. Being a homeschooled sister to six siblings, her mother put her in charge of meal planning for nine, taught her how to coupon and even gifted her a box to organize her coupons.
Debt Free and Happy
What I love the most about Crystal is that she didn’t keep all of her knowledge, expertise, freebies and tips to herself. She starter her blog MoneySavingMom.com and her business has really taken off. She is an elbow grease kind of gal. She works hard and has something to show for it. It was amazing to me to read how she and her husband were able to pay cash for their home a few years back. Talk about doing a happy dance to not have a monthly mortgage payment for 30 years!
Actions Speak Loudly
She gives out her tips, deals and coupons to help other families live a happier frugal life. She also takes proceeds from her blog to donate to charities that are near and dear to her heart. That is the heart of a true giver! In her book, Say Goodbye To Survival Mode, she talks about being intentional with your Bank Account. She describes the following formula:
Not Spending Foolishly + Savings = Giving
She writes, “Let’s live simply so that others can simply live. Because truly, there is nothing more fulfilling than living a life with outstretched arms.” Her faith is strong and her beliefs show through her actions.
Crystal offers some great courses on her site and did I mention that she is also an author? She has written several books, including:
- Money Making Mom
- Say Goodbye to Survival Mode
- 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life
- The Money Saving Mom’s Budget
Crystal also talks about how she stopped hustling and started living! Running a business is hard work and learning to balance and let life run it’s course is essential to a happier life.
What does Crystal Do to Recharge?
When Crystal isn’t working or creating new products to share with her big following, she has a list of things to kick back and relax. She loves to cook, bake, spend time with family, watch good movies and hang out with friends over a cup of coffee. Simple and refreshing! She isn’t a slave to her work. She works hard, but understands the value getting out of Survival Mode. She is happy slowing down and really enjoying life. Another inspiration to look up to!

This sounds awesome! I could definitely use it!
