Our next stop in Portland, Oregon was Kenny and Zuke’s Delicatessen. They are famous for their pastrami sandwiches, and after Cory and I tried it, we can see why it tastes so good. It was within walking distance from our hotel and we arrived just before noon. We made it before the long lines and only waited about 10 minutes for a table. Score!
Kenny and Zuke’s Deli also has a great variety of pickles, and pickled veggies. YUMMY! The pastrami sandwich had the right amount of meat, and not overwhelming when biting into it. Most sandwiches I’ve had were too big and messy, or too small with not enough ingredients.
I also ordered one of their specialty sodas, Hot Lips Raspberry flavor. It was so good….you could see the pulp from the fruit in the drink and it was only lightly carbonated.
If you are visiting Portland, be sure to check them out!
