I am now at day 30 of my 40 Day Transformation! We were asked on Day 1 what (if anything) we wanted to add into our lives, or what we wanted to do without. Making a commitment for 40 days to be healthier and live a healthier lifestyle involved ‘try giving something up.’
So, I committed to not having any alcohol and adding in more sleep. Yes folks, you heard that right! Today is Day 30 of no alcohol. Believe me, this is more difficult than you think if you’re an occasional wine drinker and lover. Before the transformation, I would have a glass occasionally just to unwind from a long day of work, or while I’m watching a movie at home. And these 30 days without any alcohol makes a huge difference in feeling lighter, and healthier.
Overall, these past 30 days made me realize that I can hunker down and really do without something if I wanted to. It’s definitely about putting your mind to it, too, because you will have withdrawals in days.
Make this a challenge, and see if you can do without alcohol for 40 days! Good luck!
