Tired of sending out individual emails to your leads?
Do you feel like you’re wasting time sending the exact same emails to different people?
Automation! Automation! Automation!
An Autoresponder will help you share your message with your entire audience without spending hours every day doing so.
What is an Autoresponder?
In layman’s terms, an autoresponder sequence is just a funny, fancy name for a bunch of emails that are sent out in a sequence.
Autoresponder is the term that we give to the service that sends out our bulk emails for us.
This could be used for a variety of situations including promoting a new course or webinar, welcoming new members into your community, or follow up after a sale or service has been purchased.
When communicating with customers, it’s not efficient to do it with your regular email account, like Gmail.
What an autoresponder service allows you to do is twofold.
It allows you to build a list or capture names and email addresses and add them to a database.
There are a couple of ways to obtain that information.
One is by means of a web form, where you can generate a simple form and put it on your website.
I’m sure you’ve seen that where you can add your name and your email.
The other way that autoresponders allow you to add leads to your database is by using an API connection, which is a more advanced way to do it.
The way it works is to add an email address to the software that you’re using, perhaps to collect payments for a product. When somebody buys that product they’re automatically added to the database.
As your business grows, you’ll have more and more people added to your list through various avenues like your blog post or purchased products.
As your business grows and you develop more lead magnets, sales funnels, and processes, you’re going to be generating more leads.
Your autoresponder will manage these leads.
The second part of what an autoresponder does is that it allows you to communicate with those leads that it has collected for you.
You can send bulk emails to thousands of people all at the same time with the click of one button.
Trust me, there’s a lot of power in that.
Some would say that building your list is the number one most important thing that you could be doing in your business so that you can email people to make money on command.
What an autoresponder allows you to do is not just mail people at one time in the form of a broadcast message.
It also allows you to create a series of emails that are ready and waiting for someone to opt-in or for someone to join your site.
The autoresponder automatically sends the specific email that’s due to that customer on a predetermined schedule that you’ve set up.
For example, I can have a series of ten emails that have already been pre-written. I spent one afternoon writing each of these emails and then I set them up in order to be sent out on Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, and Day 4.
You can sprinkle the dates around however you want, but the point is that I’ve created a sequence to send email Number 1 one day after the person is added to the list, email Number 2 two days after the person is added to the list, etc.
The cool thing about this is you might have thousands of people that are each at different levels.
Some may have opted-in ten days ago and some may have opted-in a year ago.
Each one can and will be in a different point of your autoresponder sequence.
The autoresponder remembers when they logged-in and what email they are due.
There’s a lot of power in the things that you can do with an autoresponder.
