Welcome to 21 Ways to step outside of your comfort zone: Step 15 – Make New Friends! When changing careers, or even learning how to do new DIY projects, it’s good to make new friends who are in that niche. They may have the knowledge, and extra resources you can learn from.
I’m not saying you have to become ‘best friends,’ but if the chemistry is there, take a chance and form a new friendship. It takes time to build, learn and trust each other which makes it a journey.
Make New Friends
Start associating with people that desire the same things that you do. The fact that you have dreams and desires is a wonderful sign that your brain and your heart and ready to move toward a reality that is better, happier, and more peaceful than your current one. When you start associating with new friends that also seek positive change, you will happily take those first few tentative steps into uncomfortable territory when you know you have a good friend traveling along with you on the journey.

This looks to be a very lovely series. I have no problem making friends online, it’s my lack of self-confidence (or fear of making a mistake) that prevents me from doing so in real life.
I’ve met quite a few people who’ve helped me break out of my prison, but I always crawl back in. It’s a habit I guess.
Pinned this on my Staying Healthy after 40 board. I know I’ll want to return to read the entire series.
