One of last year’s Spring projects was build a greenhouse out of old recycled windows that were left in the barn when we bought our new house. Build a greenhouse to have a year round garden. It’s great in the winter time, and you can even turn it into a studio, or workspace.
We laid the windows out on the ground to see how many we could use. This allowed me to start framing the greenhouse to the desired size based on the windows I already owned.
Build a Greenhouse
I was super excited upon completion of the greenhouse, and am hoping to have a garden year round. It’s great for gardening during the winter time, and you can make extra room for a workspace. I was able to start some of my tomato, pepper, squash, and cucumber plants in the greenhouse this year before planting them outside in raised garden beds.

You can buy mini greenhouses if you don’t have the room to build a greenhouse. Here are a few that I found that seem to take up the least amount of space.
