On Saturday night, after a long day of walking around the Westminster area, and then hiking the stairs at St. Paul’s Cathedral, we went our separate ways. Val and Rob wanted to see Hamlet at the Globe, the famous Shakespearean theater.
The Globe functions much the same way as it did in many years passed. The crowd stands on the floor, there is no seating except on the balconies. Val and Rob opted for seating higher up, since Val is short like me. What a vantage point!
Cory and I opted for a leisure stroll through the downtown area. I wanted to see Harrods London at night after they turn on their lights. We arrived a bit too early and had to wait awhile.
Harrods at night is amazing! The cabs just line the street picking up their fares.
These pictures by no means do it justice. It started to rain so we headed indoors, but it was well worth the wait.
One of my favorite places in London, and I’ll definitely be returning. Share with me your favorite destinations in the comment section below!
